The setting of this dream was Avatar the Last Air Bender, the show. It's about 4 nations (earth, wind, water and fire) in which people in each nation could "bend" (control) the 4 elements. And in the show the fire nation is raging war against the world and the good guys (earth and water) try to fight back. There is only one Air Bender left, the Avatar, who also tries to stop them. In this dream I was a water bender...
The setting was this big cave in a mountain/hill in the middle of a moat/lake in which fire nation boats were sailing all around. This huge cave was our secret headquarters that the fire nation found out about and there were there to destroy us. In the background there is constantly screaming and battle noises. There is also a bunch of smoke around. The trees in the background behind the moat surrounding the cave were on fire, and everything beyond that was baron.
My team and I were the good guys in the cave. We were way outnumbered and scared a lot because the fire nation was so strong and we though we were going to lose. So I, being the only water bender there, went to the entrance of the cave and I started to try and fight some of the ships by making big waves and drowning the ships... but I wasn’t very good at it. I was actually a pretty bad water bender because I couldn't really control the water or what I was doing. I ended up basically flooding the cave and everyone in the cave went out the emergency exit so they wouldn't drown. I was staying at the entrance trying to hold off the fire nation. Strangely enough, the men in the boats weren’t even fire bending at me, I don't know why, but they weren't.
This one ship came by and I made a really large wave and was about to send it after the boat when I saw two little girls on the back of it holding on to the railing of the ship. They were looking at me all sad and scared because they didn't want to die. And that’s when we recognized each other... it was Ayelet and Avivit (my friend's little sisters). I felt so bad because I liked them and I couldn’t just kill them. We had this intense slow-mo moment where we just looked at each other, with their hair blowing in the wind, and smoke in the background, and them slowly sailing away in tears, and I was crying too! It was so sad because I wanted to stop the fire nation but I hated having to hurt people, especially those little girls that I knew and loved. I let them go, but I knew that I still had to stop all the other ships.
I pulled a Moses and separated the water really big so there were two waves on either side of me (I was standing on a cliff on the outside of the cave entrance). I was about to push them apart and send them around the moat hopefully drowning all the enemy boats in it. I was then planning on running into the cave before the waves came back around the moat and the cave was completely flooded.
So I was holding up the waves, and I was just about to let them go and smash the entire enemy ships when this guy came up next to me on the shore by the cave. He had climbed up the little hill next to me and was dressed in fire nation clothes. He lifted up his bow and arrow (no he did not fire bend on me) and he was about to kill me when I started to try and make a whip out of water with my water bending to fling him off the cliff. We were fighting for a little while, he was fighting me, I was hitting him with water and so on. It was pretty intense and I was surprised that I was such a good fighter. Then all of the sudden he stopped. He recognized me and I knew him. It was my good friend from kindergarten!
I asked him really sadly, "You're in the fire nation? We used to be great friends..." He said, "That was a long time ago. Besides, my parents were born in the fire nation and that’s where grew up and where I live. There is nothing I can do about it." He looked sad because he knew what his nation was doing, killing a lot of people, and we just stood for a minute (me STILL holding up the waves). I told him that I was going to flood the whole moat and that if he wanted to live, he could come with me and join the good side, and we'd escape and help to fight the fire nation. He said that he couldn’t leave his people, but I told him that he could. He started to get a really sad expression because he felt like he could not leave his nation, and I felt like I could not let him die. We were torn... I gave him a final warning: "If you stay out here, you will drown. My offer will always stand." Then I pushed the waves as hard as I could and I took a moment to watch all the ships go down. Then I ran into the cave. I stopped at the entrance and in slow-mo (yes, slow-mo again) I looked back at Nick standing there. He watched all his people's ships go down, and I could tell he was sad even though he knew what his people had done. He turned to me, and the sounds of all the waves and fire and wreckage and screaming stopped. He just nodded, and ran into the cave with me. An earth bender waiting nearby for me closed the cave door to stop the water, then together the three of us ran towards the emergency exit away from the wreckage behind us.
THE END!
